This year’s salmon run promised to be big. So we wend the first week of October to one of the places recommended by one of the online guides – Weaver Creek Spawning Channel… and found that most of the places were quiet if not closed. The spawning season that supposed to run from 1st week of October to 1st week of November was running late. So we had to come back during the peak time (Oct 15 till Oct 25). The place was packed! Lots of people and soon we found out why. It was great! Clean and nicely built. Lots of walkways and man-made rapids for the fish to jump. Lots of information to educate yourself about the lifecycle of salmon. Overall great experience and lots of memories and pictures that we brought back with us! Highly recommended to visit if you are in Vancouver area. It’s only 1.5 hours away.
